Airbrush Courses

Twisted arts factory teaches how to airbrush with all the current methods and tricks of the trade used in airbrush art today. Held in Twisted Arts Factory’s new studio in Smeaton Grange (Narellan) we run fun, friendly, productive airbrush courses. Whether you’re looking at starting airbrushing as a career or hobby, or if you have been airbrushing for some time and want to expand your airbrush capabilities, our courses are designed to get you results. Taught by award winning airbrush artists Ryan and Chris each with their areas of specialty, our courses offer a broader understanding of airbrush art than other schools. All aspects of airbrushing are covered from airbrush control, graphics, stencil use, scenery, and portraiture, while working on a range of surfaces including paper, metal, and clothing.

Our courses cater to all levels and capabilities, with students being able to return when they feel ready to continue their learning from where they left off. We give returning students the freedom and choice to learn specific areas that interest and appeal to them.

How to airbrush - Beginners Course:

• Learn how to control an airbrush correctly
• Use a range of stencils to create skulls and other images
• Create illusions through the use of tone
• Colour stacking techniques to create depth
• Mask and spray methods to create graphics
• Surface preparation
• Paint mixing
• Airbrush care and repair

Enhance airbrush skills - Intermediate Course:

• Laying multiple layers of graphics on a single artwork
• Realistic Flames
• Appling a range of paints and special effects products (flakes, candies, crystal FX, and pearls)
• Pin striping

Course for experienced artists wishing to broaden their airbrush skills:

• Realism
• Portraiture
• Advanced graphic styles
• Free hand mural techniques
• Individual projects

Courses are held one weekend a month. We have a limit of 12 students per course, so as to provide all students sufficient time to develop airbrush skills through one on one teaching.
